For over two decades he helped lead one of the largest plaintiffs' practices in the Southeast — the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin — where he was employee number six and became chief architect of the firm's core operating systems, helping grow it into the largest personal-injury firm in North Carolina.
He played a key role in In re Black Farmers Discrimination Litigation — a $1.25 billion settlement with an approximately $100 million fee award, work cited directly in the Court's opinion. Along the way he founded the legal-technology company GrowPath, productizing the systems he'd engineered inside the firm.
